UnCategorized Ok. You don’t want employees. You want to do this on your own. Great! I’m there with you and want to help you make some sound decisions that will propel you forward and help you reach whatever end goal you have in mind. Tip #1: Create 30-day goals — stop trying to think so big. Break down your goals into bite-sized pieces and make them attainable. Find an accountability partner and set up weekly check-in phone meetings to discuss progress. Tip #2: Are you totally clear about who you are and what you are doing — I used TOTALLY not KINDA. Write it down! Identify what you do and how you do it. And who you do it for. Make sure you are narrowing the focus not expanding it. You can’t be all things to all people. Tip #3: Write down 10 people to talk to about your business in the next 10 days — and stay with this simple practice. This is an easy way to practice how to talk to people about your business — simply start with 10 people who you know will say yes to an invitation for coffee — then pick another 10 people who you feel should know about you. Tip #4: Write down your 10 most enduring strengths — now is NOT the time to be humble. Focus on these, not your weaknesses — your strengths will help you build a business, your weaknesses will create obstacles. Run these strengths by people you respect that know you and see if they add more or clarify what you have written. Tip #5: List 5 reasons people would want what you provide — get real clear. These have to be benefit-driven, don’t stop until you have answered the so-what question. Again, be very specific with this and don’t think this will be easy. Here’s an idea — go ask your clients what they received from your services or products! There’s a reality of running a business as a solo-preneur that forces you to ask yourself — am I doing this to create a lifestyle or am I doing this to provide retirement income down the road? Is what you are doing a hobby or is it a real business? They are different mindsets with different outcomes. Neither is right or wrong, Just be clear so you know when you are being successful. copyright 2008 FlashPoint! LLC About the Author: 相关的主题文章:
